Chain Jewelry Details Tutorial

This is first if a few tutorials I want to do. There's a few 'tricks' I've discovered in the process of my art that I thought I could share to possibly help others find a way to add interesting details and accents like chains or a string of pearls to their own work without the hours/days painting them would take if done from scratch each time -- yet still retain a hand-painted quality, or not, if you choose.

I just realized that I forgot to mention in the tutorial that another helpful aspect is while the color of the 'chain' is initially what the pattern base is, it's very easy to color-shift or alter the color in whichever way to whatever color you want after it's been applied to the painting (as long as you use a separate layer. If not, it still can be done, just not very easily.)
