A calendar of digital art featuring the male form in various themes: some humorous, some cool, some classy, all sexy. A Man for Every Season.
The original concept had been 'cheeky' twists to holiday icons, but there's only so many holidays and icons to work with, certainly not a full year's worth. Thus the calendar evolved and for many of the paintings I explored the 'essence' of the month, often still with a bit of 'cheek', or with a touch of class, but hopefully always with a whole lotta sexy.
No, I don't use models. Sometimes I'll use artist anatomy books or photos for a reference on certain details or angles if something's not working out quite right. Like how an arm looks at a specific angle or underlying muscle/bone structure. I probably should consult them more often, at least it might save me the time and frustration of 'winging' it. I did that a lot more with the calendar, mainly muscle structure references, and I've noticed an improvement in my anatomy details as a result.
But thanks for thinking I'm awesome.
